How well do you know yourself when you are trading at your best?
Most traders approach me for assistance in solving their poor trading performance. These traders are typically experienced, and although they struggle with good execution, they can also have incredible swings of great performance!
This pattern is quite common among traders: you may perform poorly on some days, and on others, you switch modes and perform exceptionally well — you respect your strategy, overcome problematic triggers, and maintain self-control with more ease than normal. What causes this switch?
You might be aware of what triggers your poor performance, but what about the triggers of your great execution? Are you aware of them?
Your trading journey is a constant path of filtering the noise and leaning toward what works best for you. Without this awareness, it becomes quite challenging to repeat the processes that set you up for success.
If you want to become an elite trader, you need to know yourself when you’re trading at your best so you can funnel down to the set of activities, mental states, and methods that allow for your best performance.
Forget about the overall traits a trader needs to succeed; we all have different mental frameworks, strengths, and traits, and seeking a role model is misleading!
In this edition, you’ll learn something much more relevant: you’ll uncover your own patterns of exceptional performance and how you can achieve better results by capitalizing on them.
