Listen to the audio version of this newsletter at the end of the post.

People can go through life in one of two modes: grinder or scaler. We come across both types of people all the time, and those who surround us deeply influence the type we become.

I’ve seen traders do well as grinders and I’ve seen traders do extremely well - beyond limits - as scalers.

Grinders are the work-hard mindset people. Although they might be profitable, they struggle with change. They are great at persisting in one way, but they lack the flexibility to change tools and perspectives if needed.

Scalers, on the other hand, are always driven to improve. They're self-motivated and constantly seek growth no matter what patamar they are in. Scalers use challenges to fuel their motivation and they are highly capable of adapting to new conditions as long as that makes them better traders.

There are profound differences in long-term results and progress paths between these two modes of execution in trading.

So today, we’ll take a deep dive into the differences between scalers and grinders and how you can go from a grinder to a scaler mindset to reach new heights of performance with your own strategy.

The goal of this read is to become more self-aware, so go through the newsletter with an open mind to accepting the potential feedback. We are not static beings, and we have the power to change wherever we are.

If you want to take your trading to the next level, drop your ego, and let’s dive in.
