When I first heard about the concept of the fear of success, I was confused. How could anyone fear success? Isn’t that what we all strive for? In trading, in relationships, all areas!

I quickly realized this fear operates subconsciously and affects traders without them even knowing it.

As my job is to raise traders' awareness of problem patterns so they can start working in the right direction, I started studying the psychology behind this fear.

The more I learned, the more I saw how pervasive this issue is—not just among my traders but even within myself!

This fear of success quickly became too intriguing to ignore.

Many self-sabotaging behaviors traders display can be traced back to this fear, whether giving profits back to the market after a great week or making execution mistakes that seem almost made on purpose.

The thing is, most traders have been attributing these mistakes to complacency, but is it really about that?

Why is success so intimidating?

Today, we’re going to dive into the psychology behind the fear of success. You’ll see if you recognize this pattern in yourself and, if so, learn what steps you can take to overcome it and confidently pursue your goals without mental barriers.

Let’s clear the fog from your trading mind.
