Many thanks Sara - I was in a series of drawdowns trying to tweak my trading plan which has been consistently profitable over the years - I became bored with it. I took your advice , hung up my trading mouse and traveled to Tucson AZ for a week of R&R to reset. I spent the week reviewing your weekly trader's tips and weekend series of articles - I returned back to my trading plan that had been successful and BAM! success - you have to look inward and be able to identify when you have to have a reset. Again, thanks for providing us with the framework for introspection!

This makes me glad, Charles, thank you for taking the time to share it - means a lot! As I say in one article, many times, it's not a problem of capability but one of capacity that's making us underperform. Worth stepping back and seeing if things come back to "normality" which hopefully means profitability. Cheers!

Sara, do you ever move a stop loss above break even after a significant move?

Moving SL to profit only with overnight positions for me - they’re rare by the way.

How do you know that today I digged deeper my drawdown?

Good news is that i find myself in the last part: This week's setback is with manageable size, the red days are just 2 or 3 the size of a green day, and it will take maybe 2 days to recover on 1 account and 1 week on the other. There is nothing blown.

I feel like you know really well the trader's path, thank you for your newsletter, keep posting this useful stuff please.

Thank you for sharing, Natan! Nobody likes drawdowns but good you were able to have a controlled one - it makes all the difference in recovery. I’m sure you’ll thank yourself for your impulse control this past week. I appreciate your words !

Omg this exact thing happed to me Wed and Thurs. Weeks of steady brick by brick good progress, process focused, emotional control...then 2 days of wreckless, unconscious trading like a complete hack! I was like alright man, you're in a backslide, keep going and it'll turn into a downward spiral. #2 Relapses will happen = TY for the timely post (raised hands emoji)!! [From the link]: "The best decision is always available to you in the present moment, no matter how bad your past decisions were." SO TRUE. The trader speak here really does help give me another perspective and keeps me grounded. It's much more difficulty at home by yourself than I thought it would be.

TY for sharing, Joe! I can sense the relatability! It's easy to realize of these truths outside of session and challenging to bring them to those key moments of stress. A reflective question for you to make the most of the advice: How can you bring this understanding to your sessions? Cheers!
