Great article Sara! Simple and practical. I definitely use to be one of those people who had an “extreme” pre trading routine, and it actually created more tension in my approach. Rather than reciting affirmations, listening to binaural beats, and whatever the heck else I use to do. Now I just take one deep breath, look out the window, and ask god to guide me through my trading session. It’s much more grounding for me. Sometimes less is more.
This is a great example of the power of simplicity. Hard to get there right away, I feel traders need to stumble upon the complex to see the value in the simple (and know to select wisely). It seems your new routine is grounded in your core values, which is the recipe for consistency. Keep it up 👊
Thank you, Andy, glad you enjoyed it! Absolutely, in fact, we're constantly using anchors we're not aware of. For example, a certain song might instantly put you in a nostalgic or energized state, or sitting in a specific chair might trigger a focused work mindset simply because you've consistently done deep work there. These associations are powerful.

This is beautiful and flexible... You could create an anchor for almost anything, right??
